Overview[]
Humans are much the same on Cybele as on Earth, though they may be different in minor ways due to evolution or the touch of magic, among other things. It is believed by Auran scholars that four distinct tribes of humankind have entered Aurëpos at different times: Danean, Ithean, Meniran, and Ulrukan.
Other, exceptional human groups exist throughout Cybele; among these are Nobirans - said to be the descendants of or otherwise blessed by the gods - and the Zaharans, whose bloodline is tainted with dark magic from their ancestral pacts with the Chthonic gods.
Danean[]
The Danean people originated in the cold steppes on the far side of the Jutting Mountains. Pure Danean features are still found in Jutland, but the Daneans have dispersed and intermarried throughout the whole of Aurëpos. Daneans are tall statured with muscular builds. They have pointed faces featuring high cheekbones, and narrow noses, either straight or upturned. Their skin ranges from light olive to pale ivory, while their wavy hair ranges from platinum blond to light brown and their deep-set round eyes are hazel, green, blue, grey, or violet.
Ithean[]
The Ithean people emigrated to Aurëpos from the endless steppes of Ithea. Many Somireans and Celdoreans are partly descended from Itheans, while Skysos nomads are almost pure blood Ithean. As a people, Itheans are short statured with lean, wiry builds. They have broad heads and short faces featuring flat chins, broad cheekbones, and wide, low-bridged noses. Their skin is yellow-bronze, while their hair is thick, black, and very straight. Their distinctive eyes are slanted and slightly narrow.
Meniran[]
The Meniran people originated in the once-fertile regions south of the Meniri Mountains. Pure Meniran features are today primarily found among the Besherad nomads of Kemesh and Opelenea. Menirans have moderate to short stature, with stocky builds. They have long faces featuring high foreheads, lush lips, and aquiline or hooked noses. Their skin is dark olive, while their hair is curly, dark brown (almost black), and their eyes are dark and almond-shaped.
Ulrukan[]
The Ulrukan people originated in the tropical lands of Ulruk, south of Kemesh. As a people they still populate the Ivory Kingdoms of Keita, Munde, and Kushtu, though many have immigrated to the Ammas Aurë region and intermarried. Ulrukan people are tall and muscular. They have large round heads and short faces with strong jaws, thick lips, and broad noses. Their skin ranges from copper brown to black, while their hair is black and wooly, and their eyes are large, dark, and round.
